Natural Spring<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

About 1 km from Polcenigo is the Sorgente del Gorgazzo, a natural spring that creates a wonderful lake with crystal clear waters: the enchanting view and the quiet and relaxing atmosphere will leave you breathless. The Gorgazzo cave is one of the deepest resurgences ever explored in the world: at the mouth of the cavity, about 9 meters deep, there is a statue of a Christ, which thanks to the clarity of the waters is perfectly visible to tourists walking near the lake.
Every year during the Christmas holidays, the statue of Christ is cleaned and a floating nativity scene is set up on the pond. On the night of Christmas Eve, Holy Mass is celebrated and after the reading of the diver’s prayer, a votive chaplet is laid.
From the source, the Gorgazzo stream heads towards the center of Polcenigo which it reaches after about 2 km: in the village it gives life to a series of small but characteristic waterfalls, and then continues for about 1.5 km until it flows into the Livenza river.
For those visiting Polcenigo, a walk up to Gorgazzo is absolutely recommended! <\/p>\n
